Happy Birthday Zoe!

WOW! I can't believe my tiny baby girl is 7 already!! Her requests were sweet and simple this year. A webkins, ears pierced, and a store bought cake (so mommy would not have to work hard). We are so proud of you Zoe!!

The End of another AWANA year.

It is a sad thing when you never have any pictures of your kids receiving their Awana awards! I would love to post some, but when mom is in charge of awards and dad is the commander handing out the awards....oh well we are proud of the kids anyway. (If only mom was more organized and would think to hand the camera off to someone.) Riley finished up cubbies, and will move up to sparks next year. He is very sad to leave cubbies.(and mommy is sad not to have a cubbie anymore!!) Zoe finished her first Sparks book, and will move on to the next one. Ian is finished with Sparks and moves up to T&T!! How did that happen? Emma finished book 2 in T&T! She will move up to the youth this week...(HOW DID THAT HAPPEN!!) We came from a church that did not have Awana so she was behind, but she already started on book 3 and plans to finish them. You have to love self-motivated kids!! It was a great ceremony and everyone did a great job! I can't express how much we love Awana, it had been a great blessing to be involved in such a great ministry, and watch it grow. I am excited to see how the Lord works and blesses next year! It is nice to have a break and get some bible study in. Brad and I will be taking a class on the Baptist Faith and Message. It was a hard decision for me this time around since the ladies will be doing Stepping Up by Beth Moore, ultimately I chose to be with my husband. We are apart so much at church, that we like to be together for the summer bible study. (I know weird, huh?) Logan and Emma will both be in the youth! I am still not sure how I feel about this...I haven't fully accepted the fact that Logan is a teenager and then I turn around to find Emma right there too!!! The little kids will be working on a musical with Ms Diane. It should be a great summer. With VBS, Crosspoint, Frontliners, and some camping thrown in too, I am sure I will have plenty to blog about!!

Yeah I Won!!

Our "sorta" local home school/scrapbooking store had their one year anniversary celebration this past weekend. One of the perks was if you spent $25 you were able to put your name in a drawing for a $100 gift certificate. You could choose either the scrapbooking cup or the home school cup. Now the scrapbooking cup was full. Hey, who doesn't want a $100 of free scrapbooking material. The home school cup was empty. I took my chance on the empty cup. A couple of hours later I got the call. No one else had their name in the cup.....so I won!!! Yeah!! I will be heading back next week to pick up a few things on our list for next year! I know I will pick of Mystery of History Volume 2.
